Cooking for Community

Westgate Baptist Community has always held hospitality and inclusion as core values, but until recently our facilities were unsuitable for extending practical hospitality.

Now we have a wonderful purpose-built commercial kitchen, thanks to the generosity of members, friends and grants from bodies such as Maribyrnong City Council, Baptcare, and the Building Stronger Communities initiative.

We collect food that would otherwise be thrown out as unsellable and use it create weekly nutritious dinners for anyone in our wider community to enjoy.

We meet and eat at 6.00pm on Monday evenings.

All are welcome.

We also produce frozen meals for those in isolation or who are vulnerable. Do contact us if you, or someone you know, need meals, and we can organise pick up or delivery.

Our kitchen is also available for hire on an on-going basis, or for occasional events. Contact us for more details.
