Jesus tells his disciples they will be known by their love for each other.

At Westgate Baptist Community relationships and community are at the heart of who we are and what we do. We don’t always get it right, but we try to be a community of love that puts belonging and believing together.

In addition to Sunday morning worship, we encourage church members to join ‘small groups’ that meet during the week to share a meal, share what is happening in their lives, pray together, and study the Bible or watch a faith-based DVD together.

We encourage our high school-aged kids and our young adults to participate in group activities.

Our greatly-valued older people have their own informal network.

We are home to both an English-language congregation and a Karen-language congregation who worship separately most weeks, but are one body in Christ.

We have contact with the Turkish mosque in Tottenham and the Sikh gurdwara in Hoppers Crossing. Several times a year a group of Baptists and Sikhs go and donate blood together at the Red Cross.
