Worship is our response to God.

The Westgate community meets on Sundays at 10:00am for an English-language service. The service goes for just over an hour and includes contemporary music, a ‘kids’ spot’, community announcements, prayers, and a short message or sermon. The entire congregation shares responsibility for running the worship. We encourage you to stay for tea, coffee, and Mars Bar slice after the service.

We have an open communion once a month. Anyone from toddler-age up is welcome to join communion.

Because ‘in Christ there is neither male or female’ we believe men and women are equal. Men and women lead worship, pray, preach and lead communion.

There is a Karen-language service on Sundays at 1:00pm. The Karen-language services go a bit longer and are more traditional.

Several times a year we have a combined, multicultural service in Karen and English, followed by a shared meal.

Everything else we do – solar panels on the roof, welcoming refugees, donating blood – is also our response to God and is also worship.
